Each year, HALL’s former winemaker and current president, Mike Reynolds, returns to his fi rst love and blends a signature Cabernet Sauvignon known as “Jack’s Masterpiece.” The wine is named for the label artwork created by Mike’s then 18-month-old son Jack as a Father’s Day gift.
The deep, dark ruby 2007 vintage leads with inviting blackberry pie, black currant and toasted coconut aromas with densely packed dark plum, cola and black spice fl avors captivating the palate. The delectably rich structure is focused and lasting. Allow 5-8 years for this wine to hit its peak.
Now, on it's third vintage, this wine has quickly become one of the most
sought after wines in the HALL Artisan portfolio.

The story of "Jack's Masterpiece" begins on Father's Day of 2006, when Mike Reynolds was presented with a painted canvas by his 18-month-old son, Jack that he had made himself in the backyard. Mike proudly hung the painting in his winery office. When the wine was ready to bottle in 2007, Mike Reynolds was also bestowed the task of picking the label, which typically features a select work of art from the winery collection. However, Mike decided to go a different direction and chose an extra special work of art for his handcrafted bottle, his son's painting. Hence "Jack's Masterpiece' was born, a tribute to legacy, pride, and passion, releasing just in time for Father's day, 2008.
