Pungent blueberry, cassis, mineral and licorice aromas show an almost liqueur-like sweetness. Then suave and fine-grained in the mouth, with concentrated, smooth dark berry and licorice flavors. The strong, building finish features intense, bright dark fruits and sweet chewy tannins.

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon (primarily estate fruit) reveals a deep ruby purple color as well as sweet, tarry, black currant, and chocolate notes with hints of wood smoke and spice box... It should drink beautifully for 15 or more years.

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is like a neutron star, with massive power packed into a concentrated mass. Just huge in black currants, black cherries and chocolate, almost as thick as molasses, yet dry and firm and minerally. Vast weight and authority. Cellar Selection. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Montagna is deep garnet-purple colored and gives up expressive black cherries, preserved plums and crushed blackcurrants with hints of chocolate mint, Indian spices and fragrant soil plus a waft of violets. Full-bodied, richly fruited and sporting beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins, it has just enough freshness and a long, spicy finish.

This is one of those Napa Cabs that tastes glamorous. Even people who know little about wine will taste it and go, Wow. And the longer it sits in the glass and airs, the better it gets. Bone dry, soft and smooth, it shows luscious black currant, plum, sage, spice and cedar flavors, wrapped into finely ground tannins.

Amazingly delicious and soft. Defines the modern Napa Cabernet style, with the tasteful elegance Hall wines are known for. With 20% Merlot, it displays dazzlingly rich flavors of blackberries, black cherries, red currants and mocha, with a savory note of bacon. Now-2013.

Another flirtatious example of near perfection is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder. Pure blackberry and blueberry fruit mixed with white flowers and spice box are sensational in this opulent full-bodied, voluptuously textured wine. Deep, textured, rich, this is another tour de force from a winery that seems to be at the top of its game. Drink it over the next 20 years.

Amazing for its complex mix of flavors, which ranges from mint-herb, loamy earth, dried currant, black cherry and berry fruit that's deep and supple, gaining velocity. Well-structured, this ends with firm tannins and a long finish. Best from 2010 through 2017.

As it begins to open it delivers aromas of wild blackberry, nutmeg, pipe tobacco and creme de cassis. There are rich flavors of blackberry preserves, creme de cassis, anise and mocha in this full-bodied, layered Cabernet. This wine needs time for the tannins to soften and would be best to allow this impressive bottling at least another year in the bottle to mellow.

This is the first vintage that Hall has produced the 'Terra Secca' Cabernet Sauvignon which translates to 'dry earth'. Aged 22 Months in 65% New French Oak, this wine opens with a bouquet of creme de cassis, exotic spices, coffee grounds and anise with sandalwood accents. Dense and concentrated, flavors of baking spice, coffee, cigar box and creme de cassis flavors persist through a plush, velvety texture which glides effortlessly into the layered finish. This is another gorgeous wine made by the winemaking team at Hall.

This is an inaugural release, blended with 7% Merlot and aged 22 months in French oak, 65% new. From vines grown predominantly in the northern end of the valley (Calistoga and St. Helena), it features a grainy texture of bold dark cherry that's granular and focused on the palate. Tobacco and leather add to the savory nature of the billowy tannin power. Enjoy best 2020-2030.

This blends 65% Cabernet Sauvignon with 35% Merlot, the two playing well against each other to provide a broad soft expanse of decadent flavor. Cherry, plum, vanilla and well-integrated oak make it round and opulent, with a fleshiness that persists through a lengthy finish.
