Planted over 100 years ago, Pacini vineyard is perched on the wild slopes of Mayacamas Mountain Range majestically overlooking Ukiah to the west. A true heritage vineyard, 2018 marks the year that the great-grandson bought the vineyard back into the family. With great care and vision the site is being rehabilitated in concert with the natural habitat by employing true dry-farming, sustainable practices, and sheep as natural (and very cute) mowers. The wine made from these centenarian vines presents a powerful yet elegant side of Zinfandel. May they continue to be fruitful for another century to come!

Tasting notes

The nose opens to a fresh, complex perfume of plum, lavender and Szechuan peppercorn. Deep, ripe fruits are supported with tight, fine-grained tannins that will unwind beautifully over time. A sensation of dry earth and minerality follows, leading to an elegantly austere finish.
