The Wine Palate, Lisa Perrotti-Brown

2023 Jack's Masterpiece Cabernet Sauvignon
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2023 Jacks Masterpiece Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) pops from the glass with lively notes of cassis, red currant jelly, and potpourri, plus hints of chocolate box, pencil lead, and cardamom. The full-bodied palate delivers a firm backbone of grainy tannins and a lively line supporting the taut, muscular black fruit, finishing long and earthy."

2023 Eighteen Seventy-Three Cabernet Sauvignon
"A brilliant wine as well as a smoking value, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Eighteen Seventy-Three shows a deep purple hue and classic Cabernet aromatics of cassis, graphite, classy oak, violets, and leafy herbs. It's concentrated and medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ripe, polished tannins, a layered, silky mouthfeel, and a great finish. Put this beauty blind up with the best in the vintage and shock your friends. It will keep for two decades. Drink 2025-2045."
