The Wine Advocate, Lisa Perotti-Brown

"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon offers an earthy/savory nose with notes of fertile loam, tree bark and smoked meat over a cassis and black cherry core with touches of roses and menthol. The full-bodied palate delivers great expression and plenty of character, supported by chewy tannins and finishing on a savory note."

This wine is deep garnet in color, exhibiting aromatic layered notes of dried fig, blackcurrant, black pepper, wet gravel, and dried basil. Mouth coating flavors of blackberry preserves, tobacco, anise, cocoa, and nutmeg develop on the palate. Vintage Notes

An unseasonably warm spring brought early bloom and bud break. Temperatures cooled in May causing grape shatter, which resulted in uneven fruit set and reduced an already low crop yield. In reaction, vineyard crews worked even more diligently during veraison thinning to maintain even ripening of the clusters. As a result of the growing conditions, attention to detail in the vineyards, plus a final pass through optical sorting equipment at the winery makes the quality of the vintage extremely high.
